Abstract

Traffic congestion is a condition on road networks that occurs as users increases, and is characterized by slower speeds, longer trip times, and increased vehicular queuing. The common example is the congestion of vehicles on roads. In this work the continuous and the discontinuous behaviour of vehicles is model based on Lighthill, Whitham and Richard (LWR) model, considering the traffic flow parameters such as flow, density and velocity.
